If you have been following us for a while, you would know that we are huge proponents of Australian Kunzea Oil - and for good reason! This Australian Native is commonly touted ‘Tasmania’s Best-Kept Natural Secret’ and it is the signature essential oil in our Zea Relief Kunzea Product Range.

Kunzea is endemic to Australia and primarily grows in North-East Tasmania. It is steam distilled from the Kunzea ambigua plant that is a member of Myrtaceae (or Myrtle Family).

Aromatically, Kunzea Oil has a pleasant scent with clean, fresh, invigorating undertones. The aroma is often compared to the scent of the Australian Bush.

Therapeutically, Kunzea may have even more beneficial properties than its better-known cousin Tea Tree. In addition, it has a much milder sensation when applied to the skin. Kunzea Oil may also help to reduce pain and relieve inflammation.

To learn more about its therapeutic benefits, read our blog Benefits of Australian Kunzea Essential Oil

If you haven’t used before, we strongly encourage you to give this remarkable essential oil a try

Essential Oil FAQs

Have your essential oils or products been tested on animals?

Absolutely not! We pride ourselves on being a completely cruelty-free brand. In addition, all our Zea Relief products have not and will not ever be tested on animals

Your essential oils cost less than other brands, how can you offer such low prices?

At Zea Relief we have established long-standing relations with our essential oil producers over the past 25 years. We pass this experience on to consumers in the form of affordable pricing. We use the same quality essential oils as other companies; we just choose to price our essential oils with the best interest of our customers in mind. By not marking up our essential oils, as many competitors do, we can offer premium quality oils at an affordable price.

Can you guarantee the quality of your essential oils?

Yes we can. With 25+ years of experience in the aromatherapy and essential oil industry, we have a lot of confidence in our supplies from all over the world. We only sell 100% pure essential oils.

Is the quality of Zea Relief Essential Oils the same as Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) companies?

Absolutely. In fact, in a lot of cases, we actually source our premium essential oils from the same farmers as a lot of the major essential oil corporations from around the world. The only real difference between us and well-known brands on the market is that it is only us - a small Australian family business - with over 25 years experience in essential oils. This understanding of the industry is why we can sell our premium essential oils at such an affordable price.

Are your essential oils diluted or watered down in any way?

No. Every essential oil on our website is 100% pure.

Just love Kunzea oil

Frankly I was sceptical about this oil at the very beginning. I have arthritis on most of my fingers. At times, can be quite swollen and painful. My husband told me to try Kunzea oil. He said what have you to lose, only apply and see the reactions. I ordered a small bottle of Kunzea oil. I used it on the day I received my shipment. I felt less pain and started applying every night before sleeping. It doesn’t help with the swell as doctors have confirmed the swell won’t go away but Kunzea oil has helped me with the pain relief. I don’t have to take paracetamol. Now, I use the oil most nights to prevent the pain. That is great for me. I also use Kunzea oil when I am having a cough especially at night. I apply on the curve of my sole and that helped. I don’t cough and sleep better at night. Just love this little bottle of Kunzea oil. Thank you. I have recommended to my neighbours and family from overseas. 👍

Kunzea has replaced tea tree oil in all my household uses

The Kunzea scent reminds me of walking through the bush. If you are a fan of using tea tree oil then you will love Kunzea. I replaced tea tree oil with Kunzea as I prefer the softer, more subtle perfume. My favourite diffuser blend is equal parts Kunzea and Lemon Myrtle.
I purchased this oil online. Zea Relief provided excellent communication and prompt delivery. I gladly recommend both the product and the company.

This works

I have tried most of the creams on the market at the chemist, and other herbal oils as well but I really am impressed with this. The Kunzea cream is nicely made, works well and rubs in so you're not oily but I think I get most relief from the oil so I am preferring to that. (I bought both - if you have arthritis you will try anything!) And it smells strong but in a good, earthy kind of way. Not at all offensive. It won't cure your aches and pains but it genuinely does bring positive relief to sore muscles and joints. It was a recommended by a friend and I am very happy to recommend it to others.

Thanks for sharing Penelope! We are really glad to hear it is helping you :) you may like to try the extra-strength cream at some stage - it is a bit double the strength of the original cream. But if you want to just continue using the pure oil, that is great as well xx

Miracle oil

I’ve had a dodgy thumb for ages from crocheting, and after reading the reviews for Kunzea oil I thought I’d try it. I have tried a few different balms and creams and they didn’t really do much. I’ve made a balm out of the oil, and have been using it 2-3 times a day and I can straighten my thumb more than I have been able to for months and months! Looking forward to seeing more improvements over time. Thank you, Zea Relief!

Very happy!

When I finally received my order (no fault of the supplier, rather the inadequacies of Australia Post!) I was really pleased with my purchase. I specifically bought the Breathe Easy Essential Oil for my husband, who has been suffering a nagging bronchial condition for a while. He loves it and says it certainly helps him to sleep better and that even when his condition has improved, he wants to keep using it. I have been using the Kunzea Essential Oil and find it a very refreshing, relaxing experience. The customer service has been exemplary and I will certainly be ordering more from Zea RELIEF.
