This beautiful oil is obtained by steam distillation of the leaves and twigs of the Manuka tree (also called ‘Ti-Tree’), which is a species of flowering plant in the Myrtle Family, indigenous to Australia and New Zealand. It is in the same family as tea tree and eucalyptus plants.
